Júlia Chacón I Espí

Started her education in 2003 at Escola de Dansa de Castelldefels (Barcelona, Spain) followed by the Professional Dance Conservatory of Barcelona (Spain).

She moved to the Netherlands to gain stage experience at Dance in Art, which brought her then to Germany at the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich. She learnt from outstanding professionals such as Alan Fuentes Guerra, Marion Sparber, Alessandro Sousa Pereira, Tijana Prendovic, Hannes Langolf, Tamara Gvozdenovic and Minka-Marie Heiss.

Later with Strado Compagnia Danza in Ulm, Germany she danced in the pieces TRADIZIONE (2024), HUMAN (2023), SCHWARZ WEIß (2023) and DADADI DADADA (2022). Previously, she has participated in the film #Metoo (2019). Awards: Paris Film Festival, Los Angeles Film Awards.

Started her education in 2005 at Escola Da Companhia de Dança do Algarve (Faro, Portugal). At the age of 18, she moved to Germany where she studied three years at Iwanson International School Of Contemporary Dance (Munich, Germany).

Since 2022 she is a member of Strado Compagnia Danza in Ulm, Germany under the direction of Domenico Strazzeri.

Letícia won significant awards at DanzaFirenze International Competition (2018, Florence) 1st place, at Netherland Choreography Competition (2017, Haarlem) and at Tanzolymp (2016, Berlin) with a 2nd prize.

Förderpreis Junge Ulmer Kunst

What is the “Förderpreis Junge Ulmer Kunst”?

The City of Ulm awards a promotional prize for young artists with a connection to Ulm every two years. The prize has a total value of €12,000, with €2,000 awarded in each category. The main aim is to support emerging artists who are at a transitional stage in their careers—either currently undergoing artistic training or on the verge of entering a professional artistic career.

MovingToppings won the prize in the category of Performing Arts.
